New Gear Sets and Weapons Available on Advanced Warfare

Still playing Advanced Warfare? Well, here’s a bit of a surprise – Sledgehammer games just announced today that they’re adding new gear sets and a few new weapons to AW.

Advanced Warfare Gingerbread Gear Set

The new gear sets are named:

  • Astronaut
  • Gingerbread
  • Hunter
  • Racer

And, yes, the names are quite literally the descriptions, too. The Astronaut set allows players to don a nifty NASA-style spacesuit. Gingerbread is a holiday-themed set that transforms your character into – you guessed it – a Gingerbread man. Hunter is, well, a hunter, and the Racer set has pieces that resemble a formula-one driver’s racing suit.

The new weapons that are being added include:

  • Lever Action
  • Repulsor
  • Sten

Here’s the Lever Action:

Advanced Warfare Lever Action

Here’s the Repulsor:

Advanced Warfare Repulsor

Here’s the Sten:

Advanced Warfare Sten

The Sten is a classic British-style SMG with moderate stats overall. The Repulser is another SMG; it deals decent damage and has a good firing rate, but is a bit low in terms of accuracy and range. Finally, the Lever Action is a new assault rifle with great damage, accuracy, and range.

The new gear pieces and weapons can be obtained only from Advanced Supply Drops.

Both the new gear sets and the new weapons are currently only available on Xbox One. We assume they’ll soon make their way to PC and Playstation 4. As the developers have stated before, memory limits don’t allow for these new additions to be made available on last-gen consoles.

New Gear Sets Coming to Advanced Warfare

With all the buzz circling around Treyarch and the upcoming Black Ops 3, it seems that Sledgehammer Games wants to stay relevant. Today, via an interesting message posted on Twitter, the developers revealed that new gear sets would soon be making their way into Advanced Supply Drops in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Advanced Warfare Samurai Set

Advanced Warfare Arachnid and Deep Sea Diver Gear Sets

Advanced Warfare Luchador and Clown Gear Sets

These are some of the most interesting gear sets that have ever been released for the game, too. They include a samurai set, gear that makes you look like a spider, a clown set, deep sea diver gear, and even a complete luchador set.

These new gear pieces will be available in Advanced Supply Drops starting today for Xbox gamers. We expect Playstation and PC gamers to receive them a month thereafter.

New Gear Live in Advanced Supply Drops for Advanced Warfare

Sledgehammer Games announced that they added brand new gear to the Advanced Supply Drops found in the Xbox versions of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The gear is all new outfits for your character including some very cool and odd designs.

Here’s a look at the new gear pieces you’ll be able to loot from Advanced Supply Drops when you get them:

Advanced Warfare New Gear

Advanced Warfare New Gear 2

Advanced Warfare New Gear 3

Advanced Warfare New Gear 4

These are all cosmetic-only items.

Here are the new outfit sets you can get:

  • Carnavale – A very interesting steampunk / assassin set that includes a bird beak mask. This set has a legendary rating.
  • Trapper – A huntsman style outfit.
  • Fireproof – Set that, as the name implies, includes pieces that are made of fireproof materials. Obviously just for show. You won’t be surviving any fiery deaths with this equipped.
  • Paratrooper – One of the more basic gear sets of these new pieces, a standard military paratrooper outfit.
  • Aces – A card player’s dream set outfitted with diamonds, clubs, hearts, and spades.
  • Jackpot – A gambling man’s outfit, decked out in casino-style attire.
  • Disco – A glimmer-packed set paired with rustic gold tops and pants.
  • XRay – A full ice blue set. Adorn this gear to take on the persona of Mr. Freeze.

NOTE: These new gear pieces are currently only available on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms. They should be making their way to the PC, Playstation 3, and PS4 soon after, though. And, remember, these loot items are only obtainable from Advanced Supply Drops, not regular ones.

New Gear Rarities Coming to Advanced Warfare

Sledgehammer Games, the developer behind Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, announced yesterday that new rarity levels for weapons and gear will be added to the game on June 9th. The new rarity labels – legendary and retired – will be coming with a new game update that will be made available on Xbox platforms first (PC and Playstation likely soon after) that will be released after the launch of the Supremacy DLC.

Advanced Warfare Legendary and Retired Gear

Legendary gear will be found in both regular Supply Drops as well as Advanced Supply Drops. This level is now the highest and most rare in the game. According to the devs the first set that will be available is the Sentinel CI Set (an extremely rare character outfit).

Retired gear, on the other hand, is a bit self-explanatory. Sledgehammer is planning to retire certain weapons and gear sets in Advanced Warfare. If you have already obtained these pieces and hold on to them they will be changed to red names and their label will convert from whatever rarity level they are to a new title, Retired.

Here’s what Retired weapons will look like in the Create-a-Class system:

Advanced Warfare Retired Weapons

SHG has announced that these pieces will be the first to receive the Retired treatment:

  • Atlas 45 – A3
  • MP443 Grach – Latitude
  • PDW – CQB
  • Sentinel Mobile Set
  • Nigerian Infantry Set
  • KVA Mercenary Set

You will still be able to redeem retired gear for XP if you have it in your Armory but once you do that, it’s gone forever, because these pieces will no longer be available to earn in Supply Drops of any sort.

Advanced Warfare Supremacy DLC Releases June 2nd

The guys and gals from Sledgehammer and Activision have announced an official date for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s next DLC installment called Supremacy. According to the developers and publisher the DLC will be available on Xbox Live first beginning on June 2nd.

Advanced Warfare Supremacy DLC

The DLC will give players access to 4 brand-new multiplayer maps and the third segment of the Exo Zombies counterpart.

The new maps include:

  • Compound – An Atlas training facility within the Colorado country. It’s a small, tight map that will encourage fast paced, closer-range combat.
  • Kremlin – A medium size map located in the Red Square (Russia).
  • Parliament – Another medium size map that is located on a cargo ship just outside of London.
  • Skyrise – This is a remake of the Highrise map seen in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Here is the official launch trailer for the Supremacy DLC:

Advanced Warfare M1 Irons Pistol Overview

Haven’t been keeping up with news for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare or played the game in a bit? Well, as of May 5th players are in for a bit of a surprise. A brand new pistol has been introduced to the game in the form of free DLC. It’s called the M1 Irons.

Advanced Warfare M1 Irons

This gun is a revolver. Easily one of the coolest looking pistols in the game. Currently it is only available for players on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles. It will, however, be available on the PS3, PS4, and PC at a later date. An official date has not been announced but once it is we will update this page.

Advanced Warfare M1 Irons

Because this weapon is so new we are not 100% sure about the exact statistics of the gun just yet. Once these details are made available we will post them here including the overall damage output, magazine size, firing rate, and other important specs. Below are current estimations.

Estimated Stats

Damage Output: 33-52

Clip Size: 6 rounds

Firing Rate: 600 RPM

Overall, it’s a pretty powerful sidearm. Not quite as beefy as the RW1, but it fires faster, has more ammo, and the range is a bit better.

Available Variants

The M1 Irons was brought into Advanced Warfare with a base version and at least 10 different variants. These have both cosmetic and functional differences depending on which one you get. Variants are obtained through supply drops or advanced supply drops earned while playing the game or completing challenges.

These are the 3 known variants of the M1 Irons confirmed by developers:

  • Gunslinger
  • Sundown
  • Unforgiving Truth

Gunslinger has a unique blue & gold paint job and an old-timey appearance and comes with a built-in Akimbo attachment meaning you can dual wield the weapon.

Sundown is red, orange, and peach colored and looks a bit more modern than Gunslinger. Its stats include enhanced range and lower handling.

Unforgiving Truth is a black and steel colored revolver (looks quite badass) which, according to devs, allows players to go on longer kill streaks. It has higher range, less kick, tighter spread, but deals a bit less damage, has a longer ADS time, and a lower fire rate.

Other variants of the M1 Irons include:

  • High Noon (lower kick, longer ADS time) – Enlisted
  • Enforcer (tighter hip-spread, lower range) – Enlisted
  • Desert Wanderer (increased ammo, lower damage) – Enlisted
  • The Stranger (higher range, worse hip spread) – Enlisted
  • Showdown (increased range, longer ADS time, Akimbo) – Professional
  • Shootout (less kick, lower firing rate, built-in red dot sight) – Professional
  • Outlaw (higher fire rate, shorter ADS time, lower range, less ammo) – Elite

Overall, most people want either the Unforgiving Truth or Outlaw variants.

Advanced Warfare Update Nerfs ASM1, Buffs Other Guns

A new update that recently hit Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC platforms has somewhat nerfed the ASM1 sub-machine gun while simultaneously buffing a few other weapons. The nerf comes in the form of a cut-down of the weapon’s magazine size. In other words, less bullets to fire per clip.

AW ASM1 Nerf

Other weapons, including the MK14, Pytaek, and EPM3 have received boosts in one way or another.

CoD AW OHM LMG and Shotgun 2-in-1 Weapon Overview

With the upcoming release of the Ascendance DLC pack, Advanced Warfare is getting yet another new weapon. But it’s really like we’re getting 2 new guns. Why? Well because this new weapon is a 2-in-1 directed energy LMG and shotgun. That’s right, you’re going to get to run around with a powerful LMG be able to swap to a shotty on the fly.

Advanced Warefare OHM Energy LMG and Shotgun

The new weapon is called the OHM and season pass owners on the Xbox consoles already have access to it. Everyone else will be able to use it if they purchase the Ascendance DLC on release day.

OHM Weapon Stats

Right now we don’t have exact readings on the damage output for this weapon. Because it is a directed energy style gun you do essentially have unlimited ammo (it will overheat and need to cool down if fired for too long, though). Once we have details regarding the firepower, rate of fire, and other stats we will post them on this page.

OHM Variants

As we saw with the AE4 Assault Rifle, this new DLC weapon is also getting at least one variant. The only one we know of so far is the Werewolf. Further details will be added at a later date.

Variants are normally obtained through supply drops but with DLC weapons you are given access to them as soon as you purchase the DLC pack or have the season pass which enables early access.

Advanced Warfare Camos: Every Weapon Camo Available

One of the most popular customization options in the past few Call of Duty games (especially titles such as Black Ops 2) have been the various camouflages that players can unlock for their weapons. Advanced Warfare has several highly coveted weapon camos available for gamers to use.

Advanced Warfare Weapon Camos

In order to unlock a camo players must complete a number of challenges. Most of these consist of getting kills with the weapon, using the gun without attachments or perks, and various other tasks. The majority of these are fairly easy to get, but take time.
