Nuk3town DLC Map Won’t Be Available for Last-Gen Consoles

Activision and Treyarch have dropped yet another bomb on last-generation console players in the form of an advertisement. The ad, which promotes the Nuk3town DLC map as a pre-order bonus, clearly stated that the bonus only applies to the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC platforms. At the very bottom of the ad, in fine print, is this line: “NUK3TOWN DLC Bonus Map not offered on Xbox 360 or PS3” This seems to allude to the fact that the map will not be seen on last-gen platforms at all. Then again, another part of the fine print does say...

New Story Trailer Released for Black Ops 3

Treyarch has blessed us once again with a new trailer for their upcoming title, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. This one is a little under 3 minutes and gives players a quick glimpse into what the campaign mode’s story-line will be like.   In the trailer you meet a few of the characters, get a little background information, and see that the world is, well, going to h-e-double hockey sticks. It doesn’t reveal a whole lot, however. Here’s the description that the developers provided: Black Ops III engrosses players in a dark and gritty future, where a new...

Black Ops 3 Kuda SMG Overview

The Kuda is a fully automatic weapon and one of the first SMGs available to players in Black Ops 3. It doesn’t require a specific weapon to use and can be equipped to your loadout immediately. It is an all-around decent submachine gun that deals a moderate amount of damage, has decent range, a medium-paced firing rate, and okay accuracy. The Kuda doesn’t have a ton of recoil which makes it ideal for players that appreciate stability in their weapons. The average firing rate on the gun also helps players tag opponents with more bullets. Many players have compared...

David Vonderhaar, one of the most vocal and social members of the Treyarch development team, has stated via Twitter that players will not be able to use riot shields in multiplayer game modes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.   @dillonbogle43 Not in MP. — David Vonderhaar (@DavidVonderhaar) September 27, 2015 This is bad news for all the campers and troll artists out there, but awesome news for….well… pretty much everyone else. Shields have always been quite controversial ever since their implementation in Black Ops 2. Most players that used them either perched up in a tight room,...

Black Ops 3 Will Not Have a Classic-Style Playlist

One Call of Duty player took to Twitter to ask David Vonderhaar, the studio design director for Treyarch, about game modes in Black Ops 3. He simply asked if there would be a playlist that gave players the opportunity to play matches without the new movements. A fair question as the previous installment of the series, Advanced Warfare, featured a mode with a more classic play-style where players didn’t have access to advanced jumps and boosts.   @Badstamp No. It will not. Combat Movement mechanics are core to the game loop and can not be disabled. — David Vonderhaar...

It was recently announced by Treyarch that last-generation versions of their upcoming game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, will be lacking certain features.
