The Stinger M7, most often referred to as just “the Stinger”, is a variation of one of the most popular launchers, the FIM-92 Stinger, which has appeared in multiple Call of Duty titles including Modern Warfare 2, MW3, and Black Ops 2. It is slightly different in Advanced Warfare but essentially operates the same.

The Stinger is capable of locking on to both scorestreaks and individual players. Locking on takes roughly 4 to 5 seconds of looking dead at your target. Once locked, the weapon fires off 4 rockets that guide themselves to the target and deal massive damage upon impact. The M7 is seen in both the campaign and multiplayer game modes of AW.

Stinger M7 Weapon Stats

While all launchers are capable of dealing a fairly high amount of damage their stats do differ. Below we’ve listed the primary stats for the M7.

Damage Output: 55-155 (explosion radius), 1000 (direct impact hit)

Clip Size: 4 rockets (all fired at once each shot)

Available Stinger Variants:

  • Firehawk
  • Nighthawk
  • Seeker
  • Warden

All variants for this weapon, with the exception of Warden, are acquired via Supply Drops. In order to unlock the Warden variant you simply need to get 300 kills using the M7. Launcher variants provide cosmetic changes only, not stat boosts.
